This is a passenger seat occupancy sensor simulator that allows you to retain the airbag system (passenger occupancy sensor system) to work after removing the oem seat in the car. Plug and play. This is for the occupancy system!
**Reason for this product is if you do not have the weight (occupancy) sensor working, the car might turn off the airbags for the passenger. All curtain , seat, and dash bags, may not deploy. IF you remove the passenger seat, you may not have a seat airbag, but you would still want the dash and curtain airbags to deploy when needed. This device we offer allows you to add a pressure sensor or switch to allow you to have the SRS system active. Next thing you would have to do is add a resistor that emulates the passenger seat airbag itself that is present. **
Please keep in mind, to have the seat buckle latch plugged in, otherwise that will also produce a warning message on your cluster.

Note: for older cars like the 13-20, the occupancy system only determined if their is someone seated or not. On later systems, the more accurate weight of the occupant is measured. in those instances this seat sim works in a very low resolution were it mainly detects more objects that weight about 100Lb or more. So no children or occupants under 100Lb should be riding the front passenger seat. And again, this is meant to be for track cars.
